These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website https://thecookiecircle.lk and any order you place with The Cookie Circle ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing our website, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or place an order.

These Terms are intended to comply with principles of Sri Lankan consumer protection law, including the Consumer Affairs Authority Act, and general contract law applicable in Sri Lanka.

The Cookie Circle is a home-based handcrafted cookie bakery operating from Kandy, Sri Lanka. We prepare cookies in small batches with a focus on quality, care, and premium presentation.

Our website allows you to browse our collections, build custom orders, and place pre-orders for weekly delivery or catering. We are not a mass-market fast-food delivery platform; orders are prepared intentionally and subject to batch availability.

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract under Sri Lankan law to place an order or create an account.

If you place an order on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so and that the recipient's details you provide are accurate.

We take care to describe our cookies accurately, including ingredient information published on our Products page. Product images are representative; because our cookies are handcrafted, slight variations in appearance may occur.

All orders are subject to availability. We may limit quantities, pause certain flavours, or decline orders that cannot be fulfilled within our production schedule.

Prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to update prices on our website; the price confirmed at checkout applies to your order.

Our cookies may contain or come into contact with common allergens including wheat (gluten), eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy. Ingredient information is provided on our Products page and in product descriptions where available.

We operate from a home kitchen environment. While we follow good food-handling practices, we cannot guarantee that any product is free from traces of allergens.

If you have allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements, you must review ingredient information carefully and contact us before ordering. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are responsible for determining whether our products are suitable for you or your guests.

Nothing on our website constitutes medical or nutritional advice.

When you submit an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products on these Terms. An order is accepted only when we confirm it (for example by order confirmation email, account notification, or direct communication).

Please review your order carefully before submitting. You are responsible for accurate delivery details, contact information, order type, quantities, and any catering event information.

We may contact you to verify details, clarify catering requirements, or discuss delivery timing before accepting an order.

Our signature model is small-batch weekend preparation. Preorders throughout the week · Reserve before Thursday evening

Delivery dates and areas are subject to our current service coverage around Kandy and surrounding localities. Delivery timing may vary due to traffic, weather, partner rider availability, or operational constraints.

You must be available to receive your order at the delivery address provided, or arrange for someone to receive it on your behalf. Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery to the address or handover to an authorised recipient.

Catering orders are subject to minimum quantities, lead times, and availability stated at the time of ordering.

Event dates, guest counts, and delivery details must be accurate. Changes requested after order confirmation may not always be possible and may affect pricing or fulfilment.

For large or time-sensitive events, we recommend ordering as early as possible and maintaining direct communication with us.

To confirm a catering order, you must pay at least 50% of the total order amount using an accepted payment method. Your order is not confirmed for production until this deposit is received and verified by us.

After paying your deposit, share a clear copy of your payment receipt with us on WhatsApp (+94711796050) so we can verify and lock your order date.

When you contact us on WhatsApp (+94711796050), always send your payment receipt together with your order details in the same message. Sign in to your account, open Orders, select the relevant order, and use Copy order details — then paste that summary alongside your receipt so we can verify payment and match it to the correct order without delay.

We currently accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, which may include cash on delivery and bank transfer. Available methods may change from time to time.

For bank transfer orders, payment instructions will be provided after order placement. Your order is not locked for preparation until we receive and verify your transfer.

Share a clear copy of your bank transfer receipt with us on WhatsApp (+94711796050) after payment. We will confirm once the payment has been verified and your order is secured.

When you contact us on WhatsApp (+94711796050), always send your payment receipt together with your order details in the same message. Sign in to your account, open Orders, select the relevant order, and use Copy order details — then paste that summary alongside your receipt so we can verify payment and match it to the correct order without delay.

For cash on delivery, payment is due upon delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You are responsible for any bank charges or transfer fees charged by your financial institution.

Because we prepare products in small handcrafted batches, cancellation and refund eligibility depends on how far preparation has progressed.

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact us as soon as possible at hello@thecookiecircle.lk. We will assess requests fairly based on production status, ingredient preparation, and delivery arrangements.

You may create an account to manage orders, addresses, and profile details. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your contact details up to date.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, abusively, or in breach of these Terms.

Account and order data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order or creating an account, you consent to receiving transactional communications related to your order, delivery, payment, or account (for example email or WhatsApp messages).

If we offer optional marketing communications in future, you will be able to opt out in accordance with applicable law.

You agree not to misuse our website, including by attempting unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content in a way that harms our service, or using the site for unlawful purposes.

We may restrict access to our website for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.

All content on our website, including text, photography, branding, logos, packaging designs, and layout, is owned by or licensed to The Cookie Circle and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or exploit our content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of our website or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is not permitted.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a specific order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, except where a higher liability is required by law.

We are not responsible for failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, supply disruption, utility failures, transport interruptions, public health restrictions, or failures of third-party delivery partners.

In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and agree a fair resolution where possible.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable Sri Lankan law, including rights relating to unfair contract terms and consumer protection where they apply to your transaction.

If you believe a term is unfair or have a consumer complaint, you may contact us first. You may also refer matters to the Consumer Affairs Authority of Sri Lanka where appropriate.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.

We hope to resolve concerns amicably. Please contact us in the first instance. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we publish material updates.

Continued use of our website or placement of new orders after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
